Snake Island

Snake Island is located in the midst of the waterway near the Tallapoosa River Bridge. It is a landmark to many boaters. The Island is approached by few because of what its name implies; however, popular knowledge declares that the name refers more to the overgrown appearance of the island than to its inhabitants.
