The annual Spring “Old 280” Boogie started 18 years ago on the one year anniversary of state Highway 280 opening-up and routing around our little town. This one-day spring gathering is set on the creative grounds of Standard Deluxe Inc. renowned for its cool and hospitable Southern ambiance.

The 29th Annual Alexander City Jazz Festival is scheduled for June 14-15. The free two-day event will be held at Strand Park in downtown Alexander City on Friday night, and at The AMP on Saturday night.

Boats decorated with flags with an Independence Day theme parade from Kowaliga Marina to Childrens Harbor. Judging takes place and awards are given for the most decorated boats in different categories.

Find your spot on the grassy lawn and soon the earth will shake and the sky over The AMP will burst into a thousand different colors. Since 2001, Russell Lands On Lake Martin has hosted the Southeast’s Largest Fireworks Show over Lake Martin.
