Have you heard the news!!!! Another ‘Fall Gardening Extravaganza’ is coming in September 2017! The Tallapoosa County Extension office and Tallapoosa County Master Gardeners are proud to host another grand event.

The 2017 event will be on Friday, September 29th again at Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City. This year’s line-up will feature Felder Rushing, Carol Reese, Chris VanCleave and Sara Van Beck. All details can found at http://offices.aces.edu/tallapoosa/fall-gardening-extravaganza/

Two day workshop with Perry Austin at the Tallapoosa School of Art on Lake Martin hosted by Dorthy Wells Littleton.
"Painting the Landscape in Oils", This is an all inclusive workshop with rooms and meals at the Blue Heron Lodge.

Beginner to Advanced Levels
Perry will work with students at all levels to create landscapes in oils in our spacious, northern-light studio overlooking Lake Martin. Tables, chairs, and easels will be available for all. We will concentrate on the importance of composition and John Carlson's four planes of value.

National Fishing and Boating Week (NFBW) - A national celebration of fishing and boating. Coinciding with most state's free fishing days, NFBW occurs each year during the first full week of June.

Boats decorated with flags with an Independence Day theme parade from Kowaliga Marina to Childrens Harbor. Judging takes place and awards are given for the most decorated boats in different categories.

July 4, 2018 (9:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Fireworks at dark in the Kowaliga Bay area of Lake Martin. This annual event is one of the best fireworks shows in the southeast.
